The Midsummer Night's Gala, Austria, 2024
Grafenegg Gala (2024)
The Midsummer Night's Gala is a major musical event that attracts television audiences from all over Europe. But the best way to experience it is in person at the Wolkenturm. The colourful sound of the Tonkunstler Orchestra and the international splendour that celebrated soloists bring to Grafenegg to kick off the open-air season heightens anticipation of the festival months soon to follow. Soprano Regula Mühlemann returns to Grafenegg following her resounding successes at the Salzburg Festival and Vienna State Opera. Samoan tenor Pene Pati, on the other hand, celebrates his Wolkenturm debut; and Martynas Levickis makes his first appearance, expanding the classical orchestral sound with his accordion. Also there for the first time: Marta Gardolińska as conductor!
